Description
In the HIB website’s rules manuals, the annotations indicate what filing the rule is derived. In the annotated manuals there are
also notes indicating if you need to refer to state rules or if the multistate rule doesn’t apply in Hawaii. There are also additional
notes for anything unique to Hawaii insurance laws or rules and regulation that you should consider when filing the rules. The HIB rules
manual link referenced forms directly to the electronic version of the forms and endorsements.
Where to Find
From the homepage, go to the Publications section and choose your line of insurance. The website’s Publication Menu will appear.
The rules manual will be in the Manual/ Misc column which is the fourth column. Select the rules manual link. Then from the list of
lines of insurance select your line of insurance. A sub-menu will appear with a list of manual rule sections: Multistate rules, State
Exception Rules, Multistate loss cost, etc. Select your section then a PDF of that section will appear. There are live links within
the PDF. So for example, you can directly link to the electronic form that is referenced in the rule.
